EXECUTIVE PROFILE Lars Harrison - President and CEO Altika
Lars G. Harrison (“Lars”) has over 12 years experience in advising domestic and international clients in Wealth and Liquidity Strategies (Private Placement Programs, Project Funding, M&A Advisory, IP Advisory) and Commodity Trade Services.
Harrison has a multifaceted background which enables him to act as a Consultant and Strategist in a wide range of scenarios. Prior to founding Altika, he served as an independent consultant to Fortune 500 Companies in the above areas, was President of an international marketing firm and was the CTO for an internet company.
European by background, he emigrated from Sweden to the United States at the age of 19, to pursue both a professional tennis career and higher education. Harrison speaks multiple languages , has an extensive base of domestic and international contacts, as well as a solid understanding of foreign cultures. This serves to benefit the clients he advises on a daily basis.
Harrison received a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Swedish University System, a Bachelors in Business Administration from Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA and a Bachelors in Theology. During his college years, he also lettered in varsity soccer and was scouted professionally.
For the past 20 years, Harrison has also been involved in the fields of Peak Performance and Executive Coaching. By drawing from his background in these fields, as well as Theology, he has a unique understanding of what motivates people and enables them to succeed. He utilizes this wisdom to ensure that whatever deal he is involved in, it stays on track until conclusion.
As a former professional athlete, early on, Harrison learned the value of positive thinking, hard work, determination and perseverance. Having now been immersed in the financial and commodities ‘jungle’ over many years, he has recognized the necessity of proper due diligence and aligning with individuals and companies who have both integrity and a track record of performing. He has also learned the importance of paying attention to detail and having laser-like focus.
